RydeSafe is my bike safety products company. Our line ranges from reflective decals to rechargeable bike lights.

RydeSafe has also become a fun marketing experiment that helps me stay in tune with the needs of the clients I work for in advertising. Over years I’ve developed an understanding of how it all fits together in a very direct operational sense.

I know how to sell product with good communication using marketing technology.

I design the product and create all the marketing for it as well. Which involves writing, video production as well as media buying. I’ve become a bit of an inadvertent expert in cross-platform promotion (Meta, Google, TikTok, Amazon Ads) Sort of a one man band when it comes to this startup.

Through sheer necessity I’ve become a fairly proficient video editor. The four videos below are the top performing short form ads on the META platform.

RydeSafe started as a Kickstarter campaign and today makes pretty good money via RydeSafe.com, Amazon.com and good old-fashioned brick and mortar bike shops.

I invented RydeSafe Reflective Decals in 2012 after a distracted driver hit me on the mean streets of Brooklyn, NY. They're reflective stickers for your bike that make you more visible to motorists.

RydeSafe is about as bootstraps as it gets and in its own small way is making the world safer and MORE FUN - one highly visible cyclist at a time.
